We all know
that great Seinfeld episode where Elaine’s stuck in a bathroom stall with no
toilet paper and has to ask the lady next to her to “spare a square” to help
her out. Surprisingly her bathroom neighbor refuses saying she just can’t spare a square and leaves Elaine hanging!
It’s just a square! One little square!
How could she?!
Today, I’m
asking you to spare a square, well actually a rectangle… a dollar. Just one dollar to help make a dream
come true. A dream I’ve been waiting to accomplish for more than a decade — to
restore my cherry red 1965 Ford Mustang which was left in disarray after a
foolish teenage wreck more than a decade ago.
I only ask for a dollar, so please don’t leave
me hanging! I know you’re thinking, “What’s in it for me?” and all I can give
you is the excitement of watching someone use just one dollar to make their
dream a reality. I invite you to follow me, join me in the journey, as I take a
torn apart classic car and bring it back to life!
My goal is to
raise 3,500 rectangles (or $3,500 if you will) and document the voyage
step-by-step here on my blog.
I’ll post pictures, videos and even props to those who helped me along the way.
So please –
spare a square for this guy! Maybe I’m
your friend, or a friend of a friend, or a total stranger. But either way, it’s just one square! Let’s see how far
this will go!
